The cost of divorce is a tax

Many men complain about taxes rise and taxes in general. I don’t understand why married men value so much tax because the tax levied by a government is nothing compared to the cost of a divorce. It means that men underestimate the cost of divorce. A standard marriage agreement means that 50% of your asset is taken away.

Thus, a divorce is like a retroactive income tax levied on your net income during the time when you were married.

If tomorrow, a government would ask men to pay a higher income tax (with no social contribution), men would really not accept it.

The tax benefit related to marriage is nothing compared to the cost of divorce

I know there are many possible scenarios but after a divorce, a man may pay for mediation, attorneys, alimony, the division of property and child support.

I don’t understand why many men are ready to take the risk of marrying a woman and losing a lot of money in a divorce.

Do you want to talk about prenup agreements? Only 5% of US couples have a prenup agreement.
